Noticing the need for presence of name and image of Fryderyk Chopin in the public space, building the positive associations with the figure of the composer and his output, and also underlining the connections between Fryderyk Chopin and Poland, The Fryderyk Chopin Institute created the possibility to use the protection laws belonging to it by granting the LICENSE.

THE TRADEMARK LICENSE

What is the license?

The license is an authorization given by The Fryderyk Chopin Institute to use the CHOPIN brand in a commercial way with the aim to mark the origin of specific products and services.

Every subject – both from Poland and abroad – can apply for obtaining the license from The Institute to use the CHOPIN brand if the requirements written in the Rules of the Protection of Name and Image of Fryderyk Chopin are met.

Who can obtain the license?

The Institute can grant the license to use the CHOPIN brand for products or services connected with at least one of mentioned fields:

  • Artistic music of a national character,

  • Polish national and folk culture,

  • Patriotic symbolic,

  • European high culture,

  • Pianism and artistic mastery,

Chopin

  • Promoting Poland through arts, also applied arts,

  • High ethical value and/or artistic quality,

  • Mastery of the highest quality in a given field.

Especially license to use the CHOPIN brand can be granted the exclusive, projects of a highest quality. The license for CHOPIN brand can also refer to services.
